Conargo is situated within the Murray Region of New South Wales.

Conargo is predominately a rural shire in New South Wales encompassing the communities of Conargo, Blighty, Mayrung, Pretty Pine, Wanganella and Booroorban.

Conargo Shire is the centre of a major sheep stud breeding area and a number of other farming practices including wheat, rice, canola, cereals.

Conargo Shire has  thriving communities with great diversity.

Council supports a wide range of community activities within the Shire.

Council would like to encourage community groups to register their group on Council's Community Directory.
This entitles each group to easily publish information to a 1 page website, plus the ability to add up to 3 events
to this site. These events will also be listed on Council's general list of events.

The Shire's Halls and Recreational Facilities are available for hire by the public and community groups.
Bookings for individual halls may be made via the Management Committee or general information can be obtained by contacting
the Council Office on 03 5880 1200.
