Education

Upper Lachlan has facilities for all levels of school education.  It is also possible to commute to attend nearby private schools.

Crookwell High School has a professional staff complement and caters for children from Year 7 through to Year 12.  Crookwell Public School, Gunning Public School, Taralga Public School & St. Mary’s Catholic School also have a professional staff complement and cater for children from Kindergarten through to Year 6.  These five schools are located in the urban area of each town, with excellent facilities and pleasant surrounds. 

Four further primary schools are operational within the villages of Laggan, Binda, Bigga and Five Mile Tree.  Upper Lachlan also has Pre-schools, Long Day Care, Occasional Care and after school activities.
